National Assembly Rural Develoment Sub-Committee Inquiry.  NPTF response focuses on rural tourism-related services to, from and within the North Pembrokeshire area, much of which is of relevance to similar rural areas.  Concludes with recommendations that:  (1) the Welsh Government and other appropriate bodies should develop an integrated policy linking provision of fully integrated transport services with the rural transport  'industry'; and (2) develop a more unified system of oversight/delivery of policy objectives and strategies relating to transport and tourism.

Proposed Feasibility Study: the Enhancement of rail services on the Fishguard Harbour route, to be commissioned by the South West Wales Community Rail Partnership.  Current rail service the weakest link in the North Pembrokeshire transport network - of little value to local residents or visitors to the area, only serving the needs of people who are passing through the area.  Includes the NPTF preferred enhancements, aspirations of the National Assembly and the Welsh Assembly Government, an essay on the Welsh passenger transport system by Professor Stuart Cole, and the Department for Transport Review of the Community Rail Development Strategy.

Update of local users views of Fishguard train services.  80% rated them as very poor or poor.  More regular, convenient services during the day was the top improvement called for, that would attract them onto the train or cause them to travel more often by train.
